SCOTT SPANGLER

FC Sports is led by Scott Spangler. Scott is a coach with the Philadelphia Union Junior Academy and EPYSA’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) program, as well with 1776 United FC, a highly-selective club-level program competing regionally and nationally. Additionally, Scott is co-head coach of The SWAG, an invite-only training program for young soccer players aged 4 to 8 from the greater Philadelphia area who are seeking to accelerate their technical skill development, and enhance their passion and love for the game of soccer. The SWAG is program is free of charge and specifically focused on providing talent development to Philadelphia’s immigrant and African-American communities. Scott played college soccer at Virginia Tech where he led the team as Captain to the NCAA Semi-Finals. As a high school player at Strath Haven Highschool, Scott was an All American, All State and All County player, and the leading scorer in the history of his school, as well as being a State and Regional ODP player. Professionally, Scott played at Stuttgart in Germany. Scott is also UEFA B and USSF B-licensed coach.
